Discover the extensive history of Bruce County and all it entails at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre in Southampton. Climb aboard the HMS General Hunter, shop in Bevan’s General Store and explore the last frontier as you explore the Museum’s many hands-on and interactive exhibits. The Museum offers adult and children's programming and special events, and is home to the Bruce County Archives & Research Room. One visit will have you buying a membership!  You can also use your membership for free admission at 4 additional Museums including: Grey Roots Museum & Archives, Waterloo Region Museum & Archives, Huron County Museum and Simcoe County Museum!

'My Story, My Tattoo' - Open until January 31, 2018

Tattoos are living images that reveal important stories about the wearers, their communities and the tattoo phenomenon.  This exhibit features incredible photographs and stories of people and their amazing tattoos, along with audio stations and videos.  Those featured represent every walk of life - everyone from cancer survivors to teachers and their students, a firefighter and a farmer.

'Canada: This is Who We Are' - January 11 - January 19, 2018

Grade 12 students have embarked on a journey through time to explore the easy in which their personal family/cultural heritage relates to and defines Canadian identity.  Through family and community outreach, students have created a personal history exhibition.  Students have investigated the ways in which their family/cultural history plays a significant role in the broader framework of the Canadian historical narrative through focused research, interviews and fieldwork.
